Poppy Lyttle was born in a small town off the coast of Northern California. She lived with several animals, an unruly sister, and two out-there parents who early on taught her the concrete facts of life. Since then Poppy has been trying to unlearn these facts. She began drawing at a very young age with pens and paper. Her grandfather was an artist and her sister was a child prodigy cartoonist. Nowadays, she’s very interested in using biological processes to direct her work within digital media. The “future,” technology versus biology, and body versus environment are all important themes in her work. At least, that’s what she tries to make come across.
